A Perfect Day on Magazine Street: Kaitlyn and Marigny Lanaux, Fork With Us
Kaitlyn and Marigny Lanaux are twin sisters who were born and raised in New Orleans. They have always loved the local food scene in this wonderful city and want to share it with the world. Since 2019 they have shared countless experiences with New Orleans restaurants, bars, and organizations. Being able to support small businesses is their favorite part about having an online platform. They also love meeting new people through the local “foodie” community. Follow their food journey on Instagram and TikTok @forkwithus.

A perfect day on Magazine Street with @ForkWithUs
La Boulangerie
We would start the morning by heading to La Boulangerie. Our favorite things to order are an iced vanilla latte, avocado toast, smoked salmon bagel, and an almond croissant. Plus, we love grabbing a fresh loaf of sourdough to-go! You really can’t go wrong with anything here.
Current Crop Roasting Shop
Next, we would continue our coffee journey at Current Crop! They offer different classes, and we especially love their Introduction to Coffee Roasting Class where you can learn about coffee from different regions around the world and learn how to use a coffee roaster! You can sign up for the classes on their website.
Art Galleries
Magazine Street is home to a lot of special galleries filled with paintings, sculptures, and more by local artists. We will pop into the Alex Beard Studio, Kevin Gillentine Gallery, and The Shard Shop. All of these artists have a unique style!
The Vintage
For some snacks and a light lunch, we love to visit The Vintage! This is a great spot for shareable appetizers, delicious flatbreads, and for something sweet, order a fancy beignet flight.
Happy Hour at The Bower
The Bower is one of our favorite New American restaurants, and they offer a great happy hour deal. Small plates range from $7-$12, $6 glasses of house wine, and $5-7 cocktails. And don’t forget to order the Whipped Feta!
Dinner at San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo is inside of the beautiful Hotel Saint Vincent. Serving up some of the best Italian food, we love to order their fresh, house-made pastas when we dine here. When the weather isn’t too hot and humid, we also love the patio!
…or at Pizza Domenica
If you are looking for a more casual spot to grab a bite, check out Pizza Domenica! They have some of the best specialty gourmet pizzas, and we also love their classics like the margherita. Get a side of the whipped feta to dip your pizza crust in—thank us later!
Piccola Gelateria
After dinner, head over to Piccola Gelateria to grab a sweet treat. They have a ton of gelato options including rotating seasonal flavors. Check their social media to see what they offer day to day!
