Intro to Blowing Glass on a Torch

In this class, students will be working with borosilicate glass learning the basics of blowing glass on a torch. We will blow glass off the end of a tube, and also discuss “pulling points” from larger tubes. We will then put a hook on or flatten the bottom on the various hollow forms that we blow to create our very own ornaments and small vessels. The time will be spent with demos and practicing to hone your newfound skills. Plan to have a lot of fun, learn a lot, break some glass, and make some beautiful one-of-a-kind hollow forms.
