Fabulous Eyewear Boutique and Optometry Practice
Upscale artistry meets quality eye care. Local optometrist Dr. Lauren Agnew opens third Eye Wares location on Magazine Street at the corner of State Street. Eye Wares is a luxury eyewear boutique, optometry practice, and dry eye treatment center.
Inspired by her passion for artwork and expertise in optometry, Dr. Agnew’s vision was to create an inviting eyewear collection with an elite array of luxury designer frames and funky independent eyewear. Strolling by the magnificent window displays, one can’t help but admire that this flagship location illustrates a sophisticated, upscale optical with a luxurious and clinically pristine atmosphere. The design is inspired by themes of ‘art-deco meets modern’ and pairs contemporary and traditional architectural elements with striking linework and elegant pops of color, resulting in an inviting and open space that customers and patients will remember long after they leave.
“The Eye Wares Magazine location is our vision for a transformative eyewear boutique experience,” says Dr. Lauren Agnew, OD, owner of Eye Wares. “From the second customers walk in the door for new frames, sunglasses, an eye exam or dry eye treatment, they will feel like they’ve entered another world. It’s a feast for the eyes. I have hand-assembled some of my favorite lines that I believe represent the artistic, diverse, stunning aesthetic of the New Orleans culture.”
Collectively, Eye Wares has the largest, most diverse selection of designer and independent eyewear in the Greater New Orleans area. Craving the colorful edgy designs of l.a. Eyeworks or the glamorous style of Cartier? This exclusive retailer for Cartier, Gucci, and other optical artists from around the world will meet the needs of your eyewear aficionado.
Advanced Eye Care. Insurance Accepted.
Aside from eye exams and vision correction, the optometry practice has invested in the most advanced eye care technology. For example, patients can avoid dilation with Optomap retinal imaging. It allows our optometrists to conduct a full vision assessment, identifying any underlying issues in our patients’ eyes, even during the early stages.
Dr. Agnew has also established the first Dry Eye Treatment Center in the area. Dry eye syndrome affects around 16 million Americans. This condition can appear at any age and with many health conditions. Prescription eye drops or ointments may provide some temporary relief. For chronic dry eye, Eye Wares is equipped with dry eye professionals, Morpheus8 Radio Frequency, and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy) treatment options. Originally designed for treating skin conditions and wrinkles, these options are a safe and effective way to get long-lasting relief from dry eye symptoms with no downtime.
Eye Wares also has locations in Mandeville and Old Metairie. New patients, insurance, and FSA / HSA are accepted at all locations. Saturday appointments available. Patients can book appointments online at eyewaresnola.com.
